Master Dickson is one of the judges and award presentation guests. See how seriously he is scoring the participants, Well he is certainly a VIP, only he has an assistant next to him. ( Judy was actually serving as the translator for Master).
The results of the Professional Group is really worth mentioning. We got two first runner ups and two second runner ups. This first to win a position is Chan Ling Yin. Her third place was not easily won. Her group had the largest number of contestants, over 20 people. Let's see her outstanding performance.
Joyce' group was merged into the next upper age group and became a large group of twenty plus contestants. If not this merge, she had a good chance of winning too with her great performance.
Amy won the second place. Her self-choose postures are lotus spinal twist (cover page posture of Dickson's book) and lotus headstand. Both are high level difficult postures. It's easier to first perform the lotus and then do headstand, but to perform lotus while maintaining balance in headstand posture, it's not simple at all! Her neighbour is Marine. Marine's self choose posture is the no. 8 twist and side plank foot to sky posture, very beautifully and steadily performed. She barely lost with a fourth position.
Cora also won second place. All three contestants in the video clip are our team members. On the left is Amy (Hui), and on the right is Iris (Tam). Cora is of course seasoned and charismatic. Amy and Iris are also commendable for their effort and insistence.
Angel's self choose postures are balance postures Standing unicorn & Reverse triangle twist with clasped hands. It's really challenging to perform balancing postures in competition, as they require not only technique but a high quality of mind control. Angel, well done!
Men's team Paul won the second place. His self choose posture is Spider pose and Lotus locust. A great display of stamina and power. Yes, he's a bit tense and we feel nervous for him too. But he finally did manage to sustain his posture till the last minute, not easy, and won a second place, well worth the effort.
